Past, Present, and Future of Critical Issues in Energy: Poverty, Transition and Security—A Systematic Review

In these last decades, especially after the Russia–Ukraine war, impact of energy related to issues, such as poverty, transition, and security have been heavily debated. To comprehend conceptual development this subject in academic literature, few studies tackle problems above by reviewing earlier research on subject. Inspired interest literature ago field, study aimed address past, present, future advancements critical issues regard. Thus, review paper performed during February–April 2023, we employed PRISMA method selecting checking papers articles indexed three databases Web Science (WoS), Scopus, JSTOR. Then, was followed extending it adding some other discovered gray literature. After a detailed classification articles, total 2615 were deemed valid for analysis. The study’s key contributions is cluster themes metasynthesis analyses, which point potential directions with special focus governmental policies pursue macrolevel goals concerning our daily lives.
